Chacha is a lively little town in the mountains with lots of character, many funny characters and the best cake! In every direction you can see mountain tops with clouds circling them, and there are many places of natural beauty to visit nearby. I loved walking in the surrounding areas and was in awe at how stunning Huancas and Gocta are. The school has a great atmosphere with nice students (Well, most of them!), lovely staff and good resources and the karaoke sessions on Friday are lots of fun. Fidel and Vanessa went out of their way to help me with everything and offer support and advice on teaching methods, class activities and local customs. As well as enjoying their lovely food and company on nights out, I’m very grateful to them for making my time a happy one. I have very fond memories of Chachapoyas and the people I met there and was sad when I had to leave. I would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to Peru in the future.
