I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The kids are amazing, I enjoyed my eight year olds the most. It is a perfect place to learn about teaching because the class sizes are so small and they really provide alot of resources for you to use. That's not always the case when you're starting out, so I say go for it! Also it's a perfect place to work on your Spanish because no one there really speaks English and you'll have to use your language skills in the streets and restaurants most often. There is actually alot happening locally, there are some fun bars and even dance clubs where we'd get to on the weekends. The people Fidel and Vanessa hire are usually amazing so there is a close bond between teachers. Within a few hours drive there is hiking through incredible ruins, waterfalls, and carvings. Basically it's not an issue of being cut off because there is still so much to see in that area. I think it was a great experience and I would say go for it, I have absolutely no regrets about my time there.
